DORSET is poised for a jobs bonanza now that diggers have turned the first earth on the multi-million pound Link Park project in Weymouth.
Bournemouth-based Mildren Construction began work today (Monday 9 January) on the scheme in Chickerell, Weymouth. It has been earmarked for employment uses, and is expected to attract large national firms looking to expand their operations into South Dorset, as well as regional independent businesses, which need larger premises.

LOCAL resident Andrew Court (45) has won three public grants to start 3R Cycles, a specialist charity helping individuals suffering mental illness to grow in confidence by repairing, reconditioning and making reclaimed bikes road-safe again.
Thanks to a long-term donation by DJ Property and three government grants, the registered charity will be able to meet three times a week at secure, modern premises on the Granby Industrial Estate.
